This tour departs from Hanoi and ends in Ho Chi Minh City via picturesque Halong Bay, the war sites of Nghe An, Quang Binh & Quang Binh, the historic capital of Hue, the World Heritage site of Hoi An Ancient Town, and the busy Cai Rang Floating Market. This itinerary can also be customized and can easily be adjusted to start in Ho Chi Minh City and end in Hanoi, depending on your requirements.

  1. You are welcome to join this 2-week in-depth family tour. Upon arrival at Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport, you will be met by your driver and transferred to the hotel for check-in.

    Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is an ancient city with a mix of history and modernity. The French style and the local flavor are in harmony and natural. You will be free to explore this thousand-year-old heritage site.

  2. Start your today's visit with the landmark of the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh complex (Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum & Ho Chi Minh's Stilt House). Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is a solemn marble building, where Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. Then go to Hoa Lo Prison Museum, the largest prison built in North Vietnam during the French colonial period and the best place to learn about the history of Vietnam today.

    After lunch, continue your tour to Ho Chi Minh Trail Museum, which houses over 15,000 original artifacts and provides visitors with an interesting insight. Finally, visit the Temple of Literature, once Vietnam's highest institution of learning, a typical Chinese-style building dedicated to Confucius. At the end of the tour, your driver will escort you back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

  3. As a World Heritage Site, Halong Bay is endowed with stunning natural beauty. Cruising on Halong Bay, you will feast your eye on the endless emerald sea with oddly-shaped limestone peaks dotted with lush trees and bushes.

    Make a stop at TiTop Island where you can swim or have an adventure exploring the top of the island to enjoy the panoramic view of Halong Bay. Your lunch and dinner will be served on the cruise ship. Spend a comfortable night in your air-conditioned cabin.

  4. Wake up early to capture the amazing sunrise over the sea from the top deck. After a cup of coffee or tea, explore a beautiful limestone cave in a rowboat. Then return to the cruise ship for the astonishing rock formations of Halong Bay. Your Halong Bay cruise comes to an end after a bumper lunch.

    Your private driver is already waiting for you at the dock and then escort you back to Hanoi.

  5. Have an early start for a road trip along the coast from Hanoi to Vinh Hung city. We arrive around noon and have lunch at a local restaurant. After a short break, we will visit Nga Ba Dong Loc, one of the important transportation points during the Vietnam War, where 10 young Vietnamese women volunteers died during the US Air Force bombing.

    Next, head to Kim Lien village, the place where Ho Chi Minh was born, where you will get a glimpse of the legendary story of Ho Chi Minh's life and visit a simple house built with bamboo and palm leaves, where Ho Chi Minh lived and grew up. After that, your driver will transfer you to the hotel for check-in.

  6. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Quang Binh town, which is blessed with natural resources, rich culture, and historical monuments. We will visit Mother Suot Statue, the famous bombing site during the war. Lunch will be at your own expense. Proceed to the hotel for check-in.

  7. After breakfast, you will be guided to visit many famous war sites, including Khe Sanh, DMZ, and Truong Son National Cemetary.

    In the afternoon, visit Quang Tri Citadel, the grave of tens of thousands of Vietnamese soldiers who gave their lives for national liberation. Afterwards, arrive in Hue for an overnight stay.

  8. The imposing Minh Mang Tomb is your first stop. Situated on the edge of the Perfume River, it is more of a royal garden than a mausoleum. Afterwards, take a boat ride up the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, a famous 400-year-old temple in Vietnam that once housed 32 golden statues of Buddha, all of which were stolen during the French occupation.

    After lunch, continue to visit the highlight of the day - the Imperial City, a scaled-down version of Beijing's Forbidden City that looks rather grand. Today’s tour ends at Khai Dinh Tomb. Dinner is on your own. Stay overnight at the hotel.

  9. After breakfast, pack your luggage and depart for Hoi An. Pass over Hai Van Pass and arrive at Da Nang, enjoying the fine white sand at the famous China beach and visiting Cham Museum. We will arrive in Hoi An in the evening. After checking into the hotel, take a leisure walk to the Japanese Covered Bridge, Chinese god's temples, the Old House of Tan Ky, and former houses of Vietnamese traders.

    Later, you are free to explore the town illuminated by lanterns of all colors and shapes.

  10. In the morning, you will be transported back to Da Nang where you will catch a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel.

    After a short rest, start the city tour to some historic landmarks, such as War Remnants Museum and Reunification Palace. Also, get into the bustling Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam's largest city by hanging out at the Ben Thanh Market.

  11. Embrace a fresh morning of Ho Chi Minh City (former Saigon), and then head out for cobweb-like Cu Chi Tunnels set 3-8 meters underground the jungle, where you will learn about the glorious history of the Vietnamese people's resistance to French colonial rule.

    After the visit, have lunch at a local restaurant. Return to downtown Ho Chi Minh City to enjoy a half-day city tour of Saigon Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Thien Hau Pagoda, and the busy Chinatown Cho Lon.

  12. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and then drive 2.5 hours to Ben Tre, with some of the most beautiful scenery along the Mekong Delta. Upon arrival, hop on a boat and meander along the small waterways, going ashore to visit a small brick & tile factory, and coconut-processing & mat-weaving workshops.

    After the visits, dock at a riverside restaurant for a delicious lunch. Next, continue your boat ride through the water palm trees and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

    Last, transfer to Can Tho for the night.

  13. After breakfast, pack your luggage and check out of the hotel. Your guide and driver will escort you to Cai Rang Floating Market for a motorboat trip. Feed your sight on dozens of the freshest tropical fruits like jackfruit and rambutan.

    Continue your visit to one of the most beautiful houses in the Mekong Delta - Binh Thuy, which is more than 100 years old, and famous for its unique architecture and the priceless artifacts collected in it.

    Afterwards, lunch on the drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. Relax at the hotel or explore the bustling nights of Ho Chi Minh City on your own. Dinner will be at your own expense.
