Itinerary
Welcome to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, also known as the ‘City of Angels’. Can you imagine that this second-largest city in Southeast Asia was once just a small fishing village?
Upon your arrival, the local tour guide will pick you up and give you a brief introduction to tomorrow’s itinerary. Then, transfer you to a hotel in the city center for check-in. The nightlife in Bangkok is quite rich, and your family are recommended to take a night cruise along the Chao Phraya River.

After breakfast, your guided Thailand tour will begin with a visit to Wat Pho. The reason why this temple is famous in the world is that there is a 46 meter long reclining Buddha in the temple, cast of iron, covered in gold, and set with precious stones. In addition, you can see many Buddhist pagodas in this scenic area.
Then hop on a Tuk Tuk and cross the street to reach Bangkok’s most popular attraction – the Grand Palace. As the name suggests, it is the palace complex of the Thai royal family, consisting of a total of 22 buildings. The main buildings are 4 distinctive palaces, arranged in a straight line from east to west, with green tile ridges and purple red glazed tile roofs. Some people refer to this place as the ‘Complete Collection of Thai Art’. Next is the Jade Buddha Temple, the most famous Buddhist temple in Thailand.
After the visit, your guide will take you on a long-tail boat to Wat Arun. Located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, it is one of the famous royal temples in Thailand, commemorating the 41st king of Thailand. It is said that when the king arrived here at dawn, the temple was also known as Dawn Temple.
The last stop today is the vibrant and bustling Chinatown, located in the western part of Bangkok city and with a history of nearly 200 years. Most of the shops here look old, but they are exceptionally prosperous, with almost all the operators being Chinese. You can feel the strong Chinese culture.

This morning, your guide will pick you up from the hotel and drive for 1 hour to Maeklong Railway Market, which is mainly where locals buy food on weekdays. You can see various authentic ingredients, daily necessities, and groceries, and get in touch with the local people’s way of life. The interesting thing about this market is that before the train enters the station, the vendors have to tidy up their stalls and let the train pass by. After the train left, they return to their original position.
Continue your Thailand family tour to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, which has a history of over a hundred years. Many movies have been filmed here, the most famous of which is a part of the 007 series. In the canal with lush tropical trees on both sides, boats carrying vegetables, fruits, and small commodities shuttle through the narrow waterway. During peak hours, merchant and passenger ships could cause traffic congestion and create a lively scenery.
After the visit, enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, drive to Kanchanaburi to visit the famous Bridge on the River Kwai. The bridge is a railway throat connecting Myanmar and Thailand, and countless people sacrificed their lives for its construction. The tour guide will explain more about its history to you.

Today is an exciting day for your kids. After breakfast, your family will be transferred to Elephants World on the outskirts of Kanchanaburi. This is a protected area dedicated to saving elephants across Thailand. Each elephant here has a unique story, some have worked in the logging industry, and some have wandered the streets.
Spend a day getting to know elephants, observing their behavior, and getting up close with them. Activities are provided within the sanctuary, such as cooking for them, feeding them, bathing them, and even taking walks with them.

If you want to explore the natural scenery of Kanchanaburi, Erawan National Park is your ideal choice. This place boasts magnificent water and forest scenery and is a paradise for outdoor activities and swimming enthusiasts.
There is a seven-storey waterfall in the park, and Thais have given it a sacred name – Erawan Waterfall (Erawan means Erawan Buddha, the most revered god in Thailand). You can splash in the cool water and even spot wild monkeys. Get in touch with nature on a guided hike through the dense forests.
After lunch, transfer you to visit the Hell Fire Pass Memorial Museum, located in the midst of dense forests and towering mountains. This is built to commemorate those who sacrificed during World War II for building the ‘Death Railway’. You will learn about the history of this railway.

Your family tour of Thailand will continue today to Bang Pa–In Palace, the summer palace of the Thai king. Located on a small island, it is known as the “pearl on the Chao Phraya River”.
The building was first built in the 17th century and incorporates various architectural styles, including Burmese, Gothic, and Chinese architecture. Among them, Tianming Hall is the most exquisite building in Chinese architecture – decorated with “Double Dragon Playing with Pearl” and “Phoenix Looking Toward the Sun” on the roof.
After that, we will explore the historic Ayutthaya Historical Park, which was included in the The World Heritage List in 1991. This place witnessed the glory of the Ayutthaya Kingdom (1351-1769). Under the guidance of your expert guide, admire impressive temples such as Wat Mahathat and Wat Phra Si Sanphet. When the weather is cool, you can even leisurely ride a bicycle and explore ancient ruins.
