Itinerary

Day 1: Yangon Arrival
Shwedagon Pagoda

Welcome to Yangon! Upon arrival, your local guide and driver will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel for check-in and a short break.

When the sun is setting, it is the best time to visit the glittering Shwedagon Pagoda, the most sacred Buddhist pagoda in Myanmar, whose 99 meters high golden dome is said to be plastered with 60 tons of pure gold. It is quite a dreamy experience to see the golden pagoda being lit at night.

After the visit, a welcome dinner is waiting for you.

Day 2: Yangon
Pansodan Street, Chaukhtatyi Paya, Bogyoke market, Kandawgyi Park and Royal (Karawik) Palace

Today is a full-day Yangon city exploration. After breakfast, head to Pansodan Street, and glimpse into the charm of Yangon when you walk through many French colonial buildings and historical monuments from the 19th century.

Next up, follow your guide to visit Chaukhtatyi Paya to see the giant reclining Buddha image. Then, head to the Bogyoke market (closes on Mondays & public holidays) to see various Burmese handicrafts and get close to local’s daily life.

In the late afternoon, head to the Kandawgyi Park and Royal (Karawik) Palace on the bank of Kandawgyi Lake for some great photo opportunities, and leisure walking on the wooden bridge.

Day 3: Yangon – Ngwe Saung Beach
A local umbrella industry

After breakfast, meet your driver at the hotel lobby. A scenic drive will take you to Ngwe Saung Beach. En route, stop at Pathein to visit a local family umbrella industry where you’ll get a chance to uncover how Myanmar umbrellas are made from raw materials of bamboo and wood.

After checking your hotel in Ngwe Saung Beach, the rest of the day is free for you.
