COVID-19 Requirements to Enter Malaysia

Starting from August 1, 2022, travelers from the United States can enter Malaysia without any specific COVID-19 vaccination requirements. There is no need for COVID-19 tests before departure or upon arrival, and Malaysia does not enforce quarantine upon entry.

Travelers are encouraged to download and activate the MySejahtera app, which helps track COVID-19 risk status during their stay.

If you experience COVID-19 symptoms while in Malaysia, it’s important to get tested. If you test positive, you will be subject to the following protocol: You must isolate at home under a Home Surveillance Order (HSO) for seven (7) days. Depending on your condition and a negative result from an RTK Ag test supervised by a registered medical practitioner, you may be released from isolation on the 4th, 5th, or 6th day. There is no requirement for a COVID-19 test on the 7th day.
