How to Get a Cambodia Visa in 2023/2024


Cambodia is welcoming international tourists again in 2022, with no testing and quarantine requirements for fully vaccinated visitors (a 7-day hotel quarantine is still mandatory for unvaccinated people). And the visa-on-arrival service is reopened as before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Who Needs a Visa to Go to Cambodia?

Everyone needs a valid passport and a Cambodia visa to travel to Cambodia except for passport holders from some countries.

Cambodia Visa Exemption

Holders of passports from the following 9 ASEAN countries do not need a visa to enter Cambodia, for up to a maximum of 30 days:

Brunei (14 days)

Indonesia (30 days)

Laos, Malaysia (30 days)

Myanmar (14 days)

Philippines (21 days)

Singapore (30 days)

Thailand (14 days)

Vietnam (30 days)

Luckily, Cambodia visas are available on arrival and online, which is an easy process.

* If you plan to visit Cambodia just for tourism, you should apply for a tourist visa. If you remain in Cambodia beyond your authorized stay date, you will be fined $10 per day.

How to Apply for a Cambodia Visa?

Travelers can apply for Cambodia tourist visas online (e-visa), on arrival or at the Cambodian embassy.

✔ Apply for a Cambodia Visa Online

You must apply for the e-visa through the official website of the Cambodian Foreign Affairs Services. Here are the application steps:

1. Fill out the Cambodia visa application form.

2. Pay for the application via your debit or credit card (USD30+USD6 processing fee).

3. Submit the application and wait for the visa to be processed (takes about 3-5 days).

4. Receive the approved Cambodia visa by email.

Required documents to apply for an e-visa:

1. Passport from an eligible country valid for at least 6 months after the arrival date.

2. Copy of the personal information page of your passport.

3. At least two blank visa page

4. A 2*2 inches passport-style photograph that meets the Cambodian visa photo requirements.

You can enter Cambodia by e-visa through the following ports of entry:

Cham Yeam (Koh Kong) – Thailand Border

Poi Pet (Banteay Meanchey) – Thailand Border

Bavet (Svay Rieng) – Vietnam Border

Tropaeng Kreal Border Post (Stung Treng) – Laos Border.

It should be noted that if you are from Afghanistan, Algeria, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Syria, or Sudan, you are not allowed to apply for a Cambodian visa online. You can only get a Cambodian visa at the embassy or on arrival.

Apply for a Cambodia Visa on Arrival

1. Fill in the entry application form on the plane. (Application forms may also be provided at the airport or point of entry)

2. Present your passport, entry application form, passport-type photo, return-trip ticket, and other documents at the arrival application counter.

3. Pay USD30 in cash for your tourist visa or USD35 for a business visa. (Cambodia on arrival visa fee must be paid in US dollars)

4. Wait a few minutes to get your visa.

Required documents to apply for a visa on arrival:

1. Passport valid for at least 6 months with at least 2 blank pages for stamps.

2. An entry application form completed on an aircraft, at an airport, or a border point.

3. A 2*2 inches passport-style photograph. (Travelers without a photo can pay to have their passport photo scanned)

Apply for a Cambodia Visa at an Embassy

Travelers can apply for a Cambodian visa at a Cambodian embassy or consulate abroad.

1. Contact the consulate/embassy or visit the official website to learn about the visa application process and requirements.

2. Prepare the necessary documents according to the requested list.

3. Apply in person or by mail.

How Much Is a Cambodia Visa?

Single visa fee for tourist (T) (30 days): US$ 30

Single visa fee for business (E) (30 days): US$ 35

Cambodia Visa on Arrival for Indian

Indian citizens need a visa to travel to Cambodia, even for a short stay. However, Indians no longer need to visit the Cambodian Embassy to apply for a Cambodia visa. The e-visa application is very easy and convenient. With the e-visa, Indian tourists can stay in Cambodia for up to 30 days.

Both Cambodia tourist visas and business visas are available for Indians.

Indians need just a few documents to get a Cambodia e-visa:

1. Indian passport (valid for at least 6 months after the arrival date)

2. Passport-style photograph

3. Debit or credit card

4. Email address

Indians can enter Cambodia by e-visa through the following ports of entry:
