Optional:

If you’re interested, you can pay extra to take a canoe controlled by local villagers deep into the dense submerged forest.

In fact, it is not a floating village, but a cluster of three villages of stilted houses with a height of 10 meters, built within the floodplain. Mangroves surround the area and are home to a variety of wildlife.

During the dry season (February to July), the village’s buildings seem to soar on stilts exposed by a lack of water. At this time of year, many villagers move to the “lake” to build temporary houses. The roads are dry during this period, so we travel to the village by motorbike or minibus instead of boat. Catch stunning sunsets in the afternoon as the sky changes from blue to bright orange.

Drive back to your requested drop-off point in Siem Reap or your hotel.
