Documents Required for a Thailand Tourist Visa

1. Passport or travel document with a validity not less than 6 months

2. Completed Thailand visa application form

3. A 5×4.5cm ID phototaken within the past 6 months

4. Round-trip air tickets paid in full

5. Evidence of adequate finance(THB20,000 per person or THB40,000 per family)

Major Thailand Visa Types & Visa Fee

Tourist Visa: for foreigners who want to enter Thailand for vacation, sightseeing, or other leisure activities. There are two types of Thailand Tourist Visas: Single-entry Visavalid for three months (after leaving the country, you can’t re-enter even if you haven’t used up all the days), and Multiple-entry Visa valid for six months (allowing the holders to leave and re-enter the country multiple times during the visa issue).

Fee for Single-entry Visa: USD30-USD50 / Fee for Multiple-entry Visa: USD150-USD250

Transit Visa: for people who are about to travel through Thailand’s territory for a destination in a third country. Single-entry visa, maximum stay of 30 days; Multiple entry visa, maximum stay of 60 days.

Fee for Transit Visa: THB800 per entry

Elite Visa: the world’s first visa program that allows foreigners to live in Thailand for up to 20 years, launched by the Royal Thai government in November 2003. It is a 5-year renewable multiple-entry visa with a one-year extension of stay per entry. The visa is suitable for investors or businessmen who need to make multiple trips to Thailand, as well as retirees who want to live in Thailand.

Fee for Elite Family Excursion (Min 2 Persons & Visa validity of 5 years): THB800,000

Fee for Elite Privilege Access (Visa validity of 10 years): THB1,000,000

Fee for Elite Superiority Extension (Visa validity of 20 years): THB1,000,000

Work Visa: for people who take up paid employment in Thailand.

Fee for Single-entry Visa: THB2,000 / Fee for Multiple-entry Visa: THB5,000
